Urbanrace Event Entries Suspended
We have recently been advised by Brighton Council Events Office that we will be unable to deliver The Brighton Triathlon again in 2010.
This is unfortunately devastating news for us. We invested heavily and created two successful triathlon events at Brighton. We were receiving huge demand for further races at Brighton and the Urbanrace project relied on growing this event. This news impacts seriously on our financial ability to continue delivering our remaining races at the standard our athletes now expect from us.
As a result of this news we have suspended race entries for the Sussex Triathlon. We are reviewing the future of our events and investigating alternative possibilities for keeping the remaining events on the calendar in 2010. If we are unable to make alternative arrangements for The Sussex Triathlon any athletes who have already entered will receive a full refund of the entry fee. We will advise those people accordingly as soon as we can in January 2010.

Update
We are in promising negotiations with several event management companies and talking through plans which we hope will see our two events continue under new ownership. We are aiming to have completed transfer of the events by mid to late February. Any athlete who has entered the Sussex Triathlon and who does not want to transfer to the new event company can obtain a full refund by emailing info@urbanrace.co.uk and providing their online order number.
